Asian Inspired Bathroom

This bathroom started out as a typical bath with tub in shower and no personality. Just a normal vanity.
Bathroom Before
bathroom before (sorry the image is so poor)
I wanted to give it a Spa like feeling so I decided to use all natural materials.
Slate for the shower, Bamboo for the floors and Teak for the vanity I custom designed. I added niches for the towels and split the height of the counter to accommodate the faucet and copper vessel sink.
I also removed the wall between the shower and toilet.

What do you think did we achieve the spa like quality we were going for?

What an amazing transformation! I had to keep scanning up to make sure we were looking at the same room! The colors of the slate are so "earthy" and the custom designed vanity has everything you could ask for. Beautiful!
Your bathroom turned out beautiful. Love the materials you used. Especially the slate. The nook for the towels is great too.
Wow Sue great job on the transformation! I've never used bamboo for floors before but considering how strong it is it must hold up well?? Beautiful job and thank you for your comment on my blog.
Debra,

Hi Sue, This is a gorgeous bathroom. I love all the materials you used and the copper sink is fantastic. Great job!
